Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Government Entry Desk in Montrose, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. 

 As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, delivering outstanding customer service and supporting a secure environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and responding to inquiries with professionalism. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication skills, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.  Pay Rate: $21.59 - $22.59 / Hour

What You'll Do:

* Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
* Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
* Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
* Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
* Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
* Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and credentials as required by location protocols.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
* Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and providing information or directions as needed.
* Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as necessary.
* Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activity to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel or client representatives.
* Support emergency response activities from the front desk as appropriate for the location.

* Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

* Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* A Guard Card or License is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
