Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Government Armed Patrol in Salem, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a government location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to all visitors and staff.  Pay Rate: $32.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
* Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
* Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
* Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors to provide assistance and enforce site-specific rules and regulations.
* Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
