Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Full Time in Deerfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a healthcare and life sciences location, where you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and clear communication. You will document observations, help manage access points, and build positive relationships with staff and visitors.  Pay Rate: $22.38 / Hour

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, loading areas, and perimeter points; note unusual conditions and report concerns per post orders to help to deter unauthorized activity.
* Monitor access points and visitor processes, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and direct individuals to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional presence.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical campus alarms, suspicious activity, and/or property issues, and request assistance from site contacts and/or public services when needed.
* Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate status updates to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
