As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns as they arise. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
* Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and policy violations.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting clinical leadership and/or law enforcement as directed, and supporting evacuations or shelter-in-place directives when needed.
* Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor management and/or wayfinding, and report unauthorized entry, loitering, or disruptive behavior in accordance with site procedures.
* Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
* Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
* Be able to receive vaccines required for a hospital environment.
* Be able to work in and/or around a hospital morgue.
* Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
* Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
