Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol Agent in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and communication.  What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, to help identify unusual activity and report security-related issues.
* Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorization when required, and helping to enforce site rules and visitor protocols.
* Support a respectful environment by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions and information, and communicating professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Requirements:

* Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
* Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
* Be 21+ years of age.
* CPR Certification is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
