Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol in BIRMINGHAM, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.63 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue08:00 AM - 04:00 PMWed08:00 AM - 04:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. * Monitor customer and employee traffic, observe for suspicious behavior, and assist with access control and loss prevention support in accordance with site guidelines. * Support store operations during opening, closing, and busy business periods by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions, and communicating with local management and/or emergency responders when needed. Minimum Requirements: * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Be at least 21 years of age. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
