Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer - MetroLink in St. Clair County, IL, Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Each candidate must have achieved at least one of the following
to qualify:
* Military service that included law enforcement or security duties (e.g., military police, elite military forces, and combat arms) or support in a combat zone
* Eight years' active service in any military branch
* Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
* Associate degree in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
* Graduation from a certified public safety academy in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting
Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
* Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance needs during patrols.
* Maintain detailed and accurate written reports and logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
* Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
* Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as necessary.
* Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, procedures, and protocols while performing assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements:
* Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
* Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
