Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Chemical Control Point in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal team member in an access control role at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: * Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. * Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting personnel and visitors as needed, following site-specific policies. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures. * Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols. * Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents. * Participate in emergency response activities as appropriate, following location-specific guidelines and instructions. Minimum Requirements: * A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required. * Customer service experience is preferred. * A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
