Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Campus Grounds Patrol Unarmed in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at an educational location. You will monitor assigned areas, assist with access control, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.  Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to clients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual occurrences.
* Monitor assigned areas for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activity, reporting findings as required by site protocols.
* Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials as needed for entry to designated locations.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related matters.
* Prepare and submit clear and concise incident and/or activity reports as required by site procedures.
* Participate in emergency response drills and assist with evacuation or lockdown procedures when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
* Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
* Access control or badge experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
