As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks as needed. You will respond to questions, assist students, staff, and visitors, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, coordinating with on-site contacts and/or local authorities, and documenting events as required.
* Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance issues.
* Control access at designated points by checking identification, monitoring visitor entry, enforcing location rules and/or posted notices, and directing people to appropriate resources.
* Complete routine patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and use radios, phones, and/or other systems to relay observations and follow post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have at least 2 or more years of security experience.
* Be at least 21 or more years of age.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
