Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur07:30 AM - 04:00 PMFri07:30 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. * Screen visitors, employees, and/or permitted items at designated entry points using established access control and inspection procedures. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. * Verify identification, maintain visitor logs, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with location protocols. * Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations as needed, noting unusual activity and documenting observations. Minimum Requirements: * Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience. * Possess an armed guard card/license. * Be at least 21 years of age. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
