Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrols in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more . As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to support a welcoming atmosphere, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Position Type: Full Time (Morning / Afternoon Shifts) Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:15 PM - 11:30 PMWed02:45 PM - 11:30 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:15 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:45 PM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. * Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity. * Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or actions taken during patrols. * Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required by site protocols. * Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related situation that may arise within the retail environment. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Must be at least 21 years of age. * A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only. * CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
