As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or public agency representatives.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
* Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support security-related screening and/or inspection procedures in accordance with site policies.
* Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, and remain prepared to respond to high-priority situations while following post orders and reporting protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
* A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
* Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
* An armed guard card or license is required.
* Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
* A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
