Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. This post requires an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response protocols at a government location. * Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support as needed. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying security-related hazards or maintenance issues. * Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials, and help maintain controlled access consistent with posted policies and directives. * Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: * Possess an armed guard card/license. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
