Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Financial in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will carry out routine patrols and provide exceptional customer service, contributing to a secure and welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

* Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies for financial institution locations, delivering customer service to visitors, employees, and/or clients.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
* Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the premises to help to deter unauthorized activity and support the security-related needs of the location.
* Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
* Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including communication with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
* Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
* Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or clients, providing information and assistance as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
* Maintain awareness of the environment and potential security-related threats specific to financial institution settings.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
* Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
