Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU driver policy requirements, and an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
* Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with transit staff and public agencies as needed.
* Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
* Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, monitoring entry points, and documenting authorized access per site procedures.
* Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
* Possess an armed guard card/license.
* Be 21 or more years of age.
* Have a 40 caliber endorsement.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
