Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness and communication with professionalism. In this role, you will bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to every shift while delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic armed post. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment within the scope of an armed post. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. * Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns through proper channels. * Prepare clear, timely reports and communicate with supervisors, site personnel, and/or public emergency responders regarding incidents, observations, and follow-up actions. Minimum Requirements: * Possess an armed guard card and/or license. * Access control and badge experience is preferred. * Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
