As an Armed Security Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal by being agile, reliable, and innovative, supporting a caring culture that puts people first while working as a team and acting with integrity.

 Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
* Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
* Monitor access points and observe for unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, or policy violations, escalating concerns through established reporting and/or call-down procedures.
* Complete routine reports such as shift activity logs, patrol observations, and incident reports, and use radios and/or phones to coordinate with on-site personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

* An armed guard card/license is required.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Access control/badge experience is preferred.
* Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
