Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, respond to alarms and calls for assistance, and document activities using site tools. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting clinical staff with disruptive individuals and/or behavioral health situations using de-escalation techniques.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, clinical areas as assigned, parking areas and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
* Carry an assigned firearm and related equipment in compliance with Allied Universal requirements, state and local laws, and site policies, maintaining weapon retention awareness and professional demeanor.
* Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials as required, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or local emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* X-ray screening experience is preferred.
* Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
* Alarm panel experience is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
