Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer - Armed Inmate Transport in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and the public while delivering professional customer service. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including summoning appropriate public services and/or following site emergency protocols as directed.
* Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, monitoring authorized access lists, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to posted rules and site instructions.
* Complete security-related logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation, and communicate notable conditions to site representatives and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
* A guard card and/or license is preferred.
* An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
