Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur05:45 PM - 06:00 AMFri05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. * Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to site protocols. * Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public while maintaining a visible presence. * Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site policies. * Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. * North Carolina Armed Security Professional License required. * North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card preferred. * Armed Guard Card or License preferred. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
