Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and interact with individuals on site, delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
* Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to established protocols.
* Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
* Perform access control duties, verifying identification and authorization as required.
* Assist with incident documentation and communication with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as necessary.
* Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company policies and training.
Minimum Requirements:
* A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
* At least one year of experience in armed security related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
* Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
