Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
* Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
* Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site protocols while helping to support controlled entry and exit procedures.
* Prepare accurate reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable events, and assist with follow-up actions related to alarms, suspicious activity, or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
* Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
* Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* Handcuffing certification is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
