Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Monitor in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:30 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:30 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:30 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a retail location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help support a visible presence and identify unusual activity. * Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for policy compliance, potential theft, and/or other disruptive behavior, and communicate with management regarding security-related issues. * Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and after-hours closing procedures while maintaining professional interaction with customers and staff. Minimum Requirements: * Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience. * Be at least 21 years of age. * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
