Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue10:30 PM - 07:00 AMWed10:30 PM - 07:00 AMThur10:30 PM - 07:00 AMFri10:30 PM - 07:00 AMSat10:30 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus grounds, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns. * Monitor access points and assist with checking credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. * Document incidents, patrol activity, and security-related observations in required reports, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, campus contacts, and/or first responders as needed. Minimum Requirements: * Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. * Possess an armed guard card and/or license. * Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. * Be at least 21 years of age. * Be able to ride a bike. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
