Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer Armed Area Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through professional communication and service. In this armed post, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and reliability to each shift while contributing to a caring and innovative team environment.

 Pay Rate: $27.01 / Hour

 What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government transit location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit platforms, stations, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
* Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders, applicable regulations, and Allied Universal standards.
* Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and interaction with the public and/or staff during routine operations, service disruptions, and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
* Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* Handcuffing certification is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
