As an unarmed patrol officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support travelers and staff with clear communication, helpful directions, and timely reporting using site technology. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government transportation location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public agency partners as directed.
* Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and unusual conditions.
* Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document unusual activity according to post orders.
* Prepare timely, accurate reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervision and/or appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

* A guard card and/or license is preferred.
* The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
* Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
