As a Security Officer - Government Access Control in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will be the first point of contact for those entering the premises, assisting with access control and badge verification as needed. What You'll Do:
* Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
* Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
* Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
* Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
* Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
* Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
* Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance needs within the government facility.
* Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as appropriate.
* Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, following communication protocols.
* Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:
* Valid driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience required
* Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
