As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting key observations. What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location. * Monitor and control access at designated entrances, including greeting entrants, verifying authorization as required, issuing visitor credentials when applicable, and directing deliveries to the proper receiving area. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed and completing detailed reports. * Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, common areas, back-of-house spaces, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns. * Observe cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, and communicate suspicious activity, policy concerns, and/or customer service needs to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: * Possess a guard card and/or applicable license is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
