Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a secure atmosphere. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will be key in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with access control responsibilities. What You'll Do:
* Control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
* Assist with visitor and vehicle management, including logging information and issuing passes as required.
* Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
* Monitor surveillance equipment and report irregularities or suspicious activities to the appropriate contacts.
* Support emergency response activities as directed and assist in coordinating with local authorities when necessary.
* Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
* Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
* Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
* Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
