Responsibilities: As a Security Officer - Access Control in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location where you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, managing sign-in procedures, and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols and document security-related activity while remaining highly visible to help reduce unwanted incidents. What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location. * Operate access control points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor documentation; issue and collect badges and/or passes per post orders. * Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit, verify delivery and contractor credentials, and direct traffic flow to designated gates, docks, and check-in areas. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications, reports, and follow-up documentation. * Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity. Minimum Requirements: * A guard card and/or license is preferred. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. * Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
