Responsibilities:

 As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced tech and communications location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and team members, and support access control processes. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will make a meaningful impact through teamwork and integrity.

 Pay Rate: $20.14 / Hour

 What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a fast-paced technology location.
* Screen people, bags, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with post orders and site policies, helping to identify prohibited items and unusual activity for follow-up.
* Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support orderly access control while maintaining a professional presence.
* Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations, screening results, and/or notable events as required.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to identify maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or suspicious activity that may require escalation.

 Minimum Requirements:

* Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Loss prevention experience is preferred.
* Alarm panel experience is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
