Responsibilities: As a Security Officer Access Check Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused location. * Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed. * Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. * Monitor access points and help to verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, while reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues. * Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and following post orders related to alarms, disturbances, and/or after-hours activity. Minimum Requirements: * Be at least 21 years of age. * Access control and badge experience is preferred. * At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
