Responsibilities: As a Security Guard Subway Station Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to passengers and staff. You will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, observation, and timely reporting. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.09 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations. * Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, concourses, perimeter areas, and adjacent property in accordance with post orders. * Observe and report suspicious activity, unattended property, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel. * Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures. * Assist with directing passengers and visitors, maintaining orderly access and pedestrian flow, and documenting patrols, incidents, and daily activity in required reports. Minimum Requirements: * A New York State Security Guard License is required. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
