Responsibilities: Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Position Type: Full Time Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur09:00 PM - 05:00 AMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious behavior. * Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and enforcement of location rules and protocols. * Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: * Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. * Be at least 21 years of age. * At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. * Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred. * Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
