Responsibilities:
As a Security Guard - Armed Roving Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support smooth operations for employees and visitors. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer-focused assistance while living our values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity through teamwork.

What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
* Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the distribution location, including warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
* Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and drivers by checking identification and/or visitor logs, and directing traffic flow at gates and dock areas as needed.
* Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public responders when required.
* Complete security-related reports such as incident documentation, shift activity logs, and patrol observations, and communicate key information during shift turnovers.
Minimum Requirements:
* Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* A guard card and/or license is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
