Responsibilities: As a Security Guard - Campus Site -Bike Patrol - Full Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within an educational setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the campus, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control as needed. You will be an approachable resource for students, faculty, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while addressing any security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns. * Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related issues observed during patrols. * Collaborate with campus staff, students, and visitors to support a secure environment. * Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required. * Complete written reports and maintain accurate records of incidents and daily activities. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. * Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. * Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
