Responsibilities:
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and professional engagement. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols and interact with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
* Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
* Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
* Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
* Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
* Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the government environment.
* Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific guidelines regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
Minimum Requirements:
* At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
* A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
* An armed guard card or license is required.
* Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
* A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
* Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
