Responsibilities: As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Government in Lake Charles, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in supporting a secure and welcoming environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols across assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with visitors, staff, and members of the public, providing exceptional customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:15 AM - 03:30 PMTue07:15 AM - 03:30 PMWed07:15 AM - 03:30 PMThur07:15 AM - 03:30 PMFri07:15 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. * Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols. * Support access control measures by verifying identification and/or credentials as required. * Document observations, incidents, and/or actions taken in daily activity reports. * Work collaboratively with local authorities and/or emergency responders when necessary. * Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or criminal activity at the location. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. * Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
