Responsibilities: As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This driving post combines customer service, communication, and rapid response, offering the chance to support people first while working with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local law enforcement when appropriate. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and monitor for unusual behavior. * Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site policies, maintaining professional bearing and appropriate readiness while handling security-related situations. * Assist with monitoring entrances and exits, checking credentials and/or restricted areas, and supporting loss prevention awareness through visible presence and timely communication. Minimum Requirements: * Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience. * Be at least 21 years of age. * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
