Responsibilities: As a Security Guard - Armed Manufacturing in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a positive atmosphere, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do: * Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. * Respond to incidents and critical situations involving people, property, or equipment in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols as required. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns. * Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence. * Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols. * Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during emergency response activities when appropriate. * Participate in ongoing training and drills to maintain readiness for armed and security-related responsibilities in a manufacturing and industrial environment. Minimum Requirements: * Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
