As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while your strong customer service skills support daily operations. What You'll Do: * Control access to the location by verifying the identity and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures. * Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the logistics and distribution environment. * Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with security-related inquiries and directions as needed. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the site. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and report any unusual conditions or activities. * Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client standards. * Assist with emergency response activities, such as evacuations or lockdowns, when appropriate and as directed by site procedures. Minimum Requirements: * At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. * Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
