Overview: * Ability to lift heavy bags more than 50+ pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation * Able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions * Attend 4 days of Basic Station Training * Able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays * Flexible schedule required, to work split shifts including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings * This is a part-time position, starting at $19 an hour * New hire training will be 10-14 days, 5 days a week, for 5 hours a day * Following the completion of training employees will transition to normal part-time hours * This is not a DOT safety sensitive position Please complete the on-line application. SkyWest Ramp Agents come from a wide range of backgrounds, education, interests, and experience. To apply, you only have to meet the following criteria: * Be at least 18 years old * Have a High School Diploma or GED * Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver's license * Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs clearances required * Able to pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen * Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Qualifications: This is a temporary part-time position. Ramp Agents are responsible for processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft. * Loading and unloading aircraft and carts * Stacking and un-stack baggage in aircraft * Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment * Drive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belt) * Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags * Escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously * Ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies
