Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. - Alters and repairs garments and linens according to departmental policies. - Assists with issuing, receiving, and maintaining employee uniforms. - Operates all machinery in a safe and efficient manner. - Tags and/or marks garments as needed. - Keeps accurate records of all material needed and used to alter and repair garments. - Follows all departmental, property, and company policies and procedures. - Maintains inventory levels by accurately tracking uniforms that are distributed and collected; provides requisition information to operating managers based on assessed needs. - Reports uniform quality and maintenance problems to supervisor. - Submits purchase requisitions for alteration supplies. - Reports any safety hazards to assigned supervisor. - Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. - Knowledge of garment alterations and repairs required. - Ability to follow through with repairs and alterations. - Willingness to learn and follow direction. - Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. - Basic understanding of computerized systems. - Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.
