Overview: Responsibilities: Scrub Technician: Assembles and prepares sterile surgical field and performs scrub role during surgical procedure. Cleans, prepares, stores, distributes, and maintains various supplies, equipment and instruments to assure the efficient operation in a designated department. Surgical Technician: Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for perioperative patients. Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with Infirmary Health's standards. Positions patients according to type of surgery. Maintains aseptic techniques. Cleans, prepares, stores, distributes, and maintains various supplies, equipment, and instruments to assure efficiency operation and patient safety in the operating room. Qualifications: Scrub Technician: Minimum Qualifications: High School Graduate or Equivalent Good communication skills Record keeping skills sufficient to manage required documentation Working knowledge of OR instruments, equipment, and procedures Licensure, Registration, Certification: BLS Surgical Technician: Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology Good communication skills Record keeping skills sufficient to manage required documentation Working knowledge of OR instruments, equipment, and procedures Incumbents hired or promoted into this position prior to 02/12/2017, are not required to show proof of graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technology Licensure, Registration, Certification: BLS
