Position: School-Based Outpatient Therapist/Clinician

Rate: $46,237 - $53,000, depending on education and related experience 

Schedule: School hours, Monday-Friday. (Position follows the 10 Month School Calendar.)

Location: Greater Pittsburgh Area

Devereux/TCV is hiring for a School-Based Outpatient Therapist/Clinician!

Position overview: 

This position follows the academic calendar and coordinates therapeutic services within designated public schools. It involves collaboration with school staff and behavioral health providers to deliver therapy, case management, and consultation to students and their families. Services are family-centered and may be provided in schools, homes, the office, or other community settings. The role requires knowledge of regulatory guidelines and professional standards.

Core Responsibilities: 

* Provide individual and group counseling, therapy, and evidence-based support services to students in schools and the community.
* Deliver mental health training and consultation to parents, school staff, and other stakeholders.
* Accurately document services and complete reports within required timelines.
* Respond to crises using prevention and intervention techniques.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with school staff and community providers.
* Maintain professional standards through consistent attendance, punctuality, and responsive communication.
* Stay current with required trainings and actively pursue professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years verified paid experience providing mental health treatment required. Two years of experience working in school settings preferred. Current and valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques - upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques.
