Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
Performs clerical and administrative duties relating primarily to the daily scheduling of outpatient admissions for the assigned department. Work is conducted in accordance with established standards and procedures, and requires the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Essential Duties:
* Schedules patients for department services or studies based on physician referral.
* Answers, screens and directs telephone calls.
* Performs related general office/clerical support duties.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
One year of related work experience, OR any combination of experience and education that would demonstrate the capability to perform the required knowledge, skills and abilities position.
Knowledge of medical terminology obtained through formal education or previous healthcare work experience is strongly preferred.
