The Schedule/Clerical Coordinator performs the coordination and management of departmental operation related to clerical services. *Hours vary between 8am - 4:30pm or 8:30- 5pm* Responsibilities: A day in the life of a Schedule/Clerical Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: * Provides input to supervisor for the annual performance appraisals of clerical support staff. * Coordinates meeting schedules and appointments as related to departmental activities. * Maintains operation of the clerical services including, but not limited to typing, filing, billing and transcription. * Plans and organizes work to provide an efficient workload, and prepares daily, weekend, holiday and vacation schedules for the clerical personnel. * Schedules Patients. * Requests and retrieves medical records and Cardiology reports from HUMC, other hospitals, clinics, or physician's offices. * Enters computer data to ensure integrity of patient history and appointment files. * Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). * Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies. Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. * 3-5 years of experience. * Proficient in computer skills.
