Job Summary:
The Salesforce Manager is responsible for leading the organization's Salesforce strategy and ensuring the platform supports business objectives and long-term growth. This role works closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders across departments - including Operations, Accounting, Business Development, Risk, Strategy, and Marketing - to define, implement, and optimize a Salesforce roadmap that enhances capabilities, streamlines processes, and improves data-driven decision-making. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep Salesforce expertise and experience managing complex implementations, driving user adoption, and delivering measurable business value through scalable, efficient solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, enterprise-level Salesforce strategy aligned with organizational objectives along with prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable business value and long-term scalability.
* Provide strategic oversight for the design, integration, and optimization of Salesforce solutions across all business units. Establish and enforce governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and compliance with industry and security standards.
* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while setting clear performance expectations and career development paths.
* Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders across departments - including Operations, Accounting, Business Development, Risk, Strategy, and Marketing - to define business requirements, gain alignment, and drive successful adoption of Salesforce initiatives.
* Manage strategic relationships with Salesforce and third-party vendors, negotiating contracts, evaluating solutions, and ensuring optimal service delivery and value realization.
* Oversee the Salesforce budget, making data-driven decisions to allocate resources effectively and maximize return on investment.
* Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of Salesforce initiatives, providing executive leadership with actionable insights for decision-making.
* Stay at the forefront of Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and CRM best practices, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance platform capabilities and position the organization as a leader in digital transformation.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field OR 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
Required Qualifications:
* At least 10+ years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience
* Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-phase Salesforce implementations, integrations, and platform transformations
* Strong background in change management and user adoption strategies, with a focus on organizational alignment and stakeholder engagement
* Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and ROI tracking for Salesforce and related technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
* Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, configuration, security, and governance, including complex automation and data modeling
* Familiarity with enterprise-level integrations and APIs, including middleware and third-party application management

Communications: Creates and delivers communications that express ideas clearly and concisely using appropriate mediums. Targets the amount, form, level of detail, and content of information to the needs of the receiver/audience.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Leverages Skanska regional and national resources (as necessary per business unit) to assemble, lead, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, enlisting individuals with needed technical expertise to respond to inquiries on specific topics.
Needs Analysis: Identifies and evaluates the gaps between current conditions and desired outcomes by analyzing data to determine the specific needs, challenges, and opportunities.
Vendor Management: Manages external technology vendor relationships and engages with vendors or service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Periodically reassess vendor relationships to ensure they still align with strategic business goals.
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Work Environment/Conditions: This job is performed both in the office and in the field on an active construction site. Field work requires experience and confidence working in and around heavy industrial equipment and systems, which includes average to loud noises, ability to traverse uneven grounds, and possible outdoor weather conditions. Vision requires the capacity for close and far vision, the ability to adjust focus, depth perception and peripherial vision. Activities and responsibilities require frequent sitting (often working on a computer), frequent driving, flying, walking, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching. Due to computer usage, there may be repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.
