Overview: Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Provides day to day marketing and sales support for marketing teams and management teams. Coordinates and assists in the implementation of marketing plans. Manages memberships with HVAC and Builder associations. Analyses and generates reports findings from data received. Prepares required inventory forecasts for assigned products. Safeguards the knowledge of confidential information regarding marketing plans and product development. Coordinates events, company Town Halls, assess effectiveness and makes recommendations. Supports the President of PCI and Vice President of LES as required. Performs all other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position. This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive. Responsibilities: * Assists in the development of marketing plans with corporate departments or approved agencies. Assists in the implementation of marketing plans. Analyses and interprets marketing and sales data for trends and competitive information such as target customer needs, competitor information, market size, penetration, other trends, upcoming product introductions. Monitors existing and new product offerings, industry development and competitive products. * Coordinates various marketing activities within established guidelines. Assists in the research and development of marketing strategies for trade shows and media coverage participation. Prepares documentation and reports. Handles various issues, sources materials, and follows up as required. Sources and arranges distribution of product, promotional and marketing materials. * Assists with the development of graphic designs for web and publishing media for use in displays and presentations. Prepares PowerPoint presentations for events or distribution to account managers and management. Assists with customer presentations, product launches, internal and external events as required. * Coordinates customer and dealer events. Sources venues, and materials, arranges transportation, and accommodation, arranges activities and signage. Compares show effectiveness versus budget expenditures and makes recommendations. * Prepares and reviews purchase, sales and inventory forecasts for all models and product categories. Liaises with factories and local suppliers to follow up on back orders, confirms product shipping dates were applicable. Follows up on discrepancies and makes corrections where necessary. * Prepares, compiles, maintains, distributes, and files various reports as required. Prepares correspondence, price lists, bulletins, non-inventory purchase orders, fixed asset requests and fixed asset inventory, payment approvals, new product information, and reviews expense reports, as required. Maintains literature inventory system, and orders office supplies. Provides input in the preparation of sales presentations. * Supports the President of PCI and Vice-President of LES by booking and maintaining schedules on key reoccurring business meetings, organizing Town Halls, booking international business travel. * Prepares payment approvals for the payment of rebates, and promotional product, based on established guidelines. Ensures proper back up is attached and follows up on discrepancies. Coordinates, and books on-site meetings. Completes special pricing, new pricing, SPIFF, and sell through documentation. Provides telephone support to the HVAC, Energy and Ventilation Sales departments, assists Dealers, Sales staff, and end users as required. * Assists in the preparation and submission of annual budgets by model for all Consumer Products categories. Prepares documentation, provides feedback on packaging and displays, assists with demo set up. Performs all other duties as assigned. * Manages product or POP display inventories, equipment availability, arranges for shipping of promotional material, product or equipment, track and traces shipped and returned material, product or equipment. Makes recommendations for acquisition or substitution of material, product or equipment. Makes recommendations for repair of disposal of outdated or non-functional product or display equipment. Qualifications: * Bachelor level degree in Marketing or Business Administration, and 2 years minimum related work experience or acceptable equivalent * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Working knowledge of SAP and APO. * Majority of work performed will follow guidelines established by management. Some work performed requires significant problem solving and analysis. * Daily contact with customers, factories, staff to exchange information. Requires the ability to communicate the results of analysis to technical and non-technical audiences. * Required to establish and maintain business rapport with external customers or agencies, and internal departments. * Knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity.
